Client: San Diego Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses Association
Date: June 2017
The San Diego Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses Association approached us about help for their website, as they were moving to new hosting. When they went to get the source files, we found it had been built on a 'site builder' and would not be able to be moved 'as is.' We suggested an update and move to a WordPress website. This way they could make future updates themselves. A big push for this redesign was the mobile aspect & the ability to purchase tickets to their fundraiser(s). We wanted to make sure that the content was very usable at the smaller screen sizes as well as readable. The scope of the project requested that we utilize off the shelf community supported projects to build the website, so that they would not have to hire a developer every-time they wanted to make a change of function. We selected Zerif Lite developed by ThemeIsle to be their base, as we helped make the changes requested to the default styles. We worked together to select the proper layouts for internal content and create a dynamic & engaging homepage.
